How it works

Start by taking a look at our open programs. Select a gaggle you are interested in joining, and enquire from there.

Each program is a collection of activities under a specific theme and structure, kind of like a syllabus. You participate in the full program alongside the same group of people, your gaggle.

Initially, we ask that you submit a brief enquiry form before joining a gaggle, to learn a little about you, and maximize compatibility between members of a gaggle (see below).

During the course of your program, we may also ask you to fill out some basic, informal surveys. These give us some material to use for relationship-building and introductory exercises. The content here is light and informal in nature. The surveys are designed to be short and enjoyable to complete (e.g. what would you do if you came home and found an otter swimming in your bathtub?)

A note about privacy – we do not ask for any personal information that is not necessary, aiming to limit the amount of personal identifying information we collect about you to a minimum. We do not share your responses with anyone outside of your gaggle.

There are very few fixed criteria, apart from the age and capacity restrictions which are stated on each program's page.

Apart from these minimal criteria, we rely mostly on the information provided by you in the brief enquiry form you submit before joining a gaggle.

We are not looking for any particular 'type' of person. We ask only that you are interested in getting to know new people, and having a good time. We add someone to a particular gaggle based on their compatibility with the interests, expectations and locations of other people in that gaggle. We do this to maximise the chances that your experience leads to lasting friendships.

Payment and refunds

Participants are required to pay after they are admitted into a gaggle, before the program begins.

We offer a 50% refund if you cancel up to 48 hours after the first session of your program. Just contact us.

We refund the full cost of the program for cancellations made up to 24 hours before enrollments close (the close date is viewable on each gaggle's page).

We offer a 50% refund from the day applications close until 48 hours after the first gaggle session ends. After that, we do not offer refunds. If you believe you have extraordinary circumstances, feel free to contact us.

Please keep in mind that we can't add anyone to a gaggle after it has started.

In line with our broader refund policy as described above, we cannot offer full or partial refunds for any days skipped.
